CP of NYS and the New York State Elks Association have worked together since 1964 to provide direct services to adults and children with disabilities and their families in their communities, through the Home Service program. Today, there are 27 Home Service Directors serving thousands of people with disabilities all across New York state.
The New York State Elks Association and CP of NYS work together to strengthen the relationship between the organizations and provide additional support to the Home Service Program. If you would like to learn more about CP of NYS or the Home Service Program, contact our Director of Communications.
New York Elks Major Projects, Inc. Special Project Grant Request
NYS Elks Association Special Grants Requests Due By April 15
Each year the New York States Elks Association awards grants of up to $5,000 to support special projects that are difficult to fund through the normal budgeting process. These grants are voted on by the Major Projects Board in the spring and then approved by the full Board at the Elks Fall Convention in September. The checks are given at our Annual Conference in October or mailed if there is no one present from the Affiliate. The grants have helped start or maintain community gardens, support a music program and purchase specialized equipment for an outdoor recreation program. The grants are intended to help fund projects or initiatives that will benefit multiple people or families. The Elks will not consider grants that seek to help one individual.
